about the sound of the rain beating against the ground
Sweet thoughts of you although you are not around

about getting to know you more and more each and every day
Wanting to feel your love in each and every way

what is this pull I feel every time you are near?
Thoughts of tomorrow suddenly becoming clear

Although rain is falling from the sky today
The sun is shining in my heart from all the sweet things you say
I have never known a soul quite as kind as you
If you suddenly leave my life
What will I do?

Will I choose to go on to the next moment in time?
Or will time stand still

While I struggle to find the will
to pick up the pieces of my life
and put them back together
learning from the experience
as I endure the stormy weather

because they can not break me
they will serve to make me strong
